Upcoming DataKind

Datakind organise annual ‘DataDives' to support local charities.

In 2019 the event will be supporting two projects:

  • Stop the Traffik, which aims to build a global picture of human trafficking hotspots and trends, to empower individuals, organisations and agencies to make more informed choices.

  • Meningitis Now, which has been involved in the introduction of meningitis vaccines and works to raise awareness and support people affected by meningitis.

DataDive is open to University staff and private sector data scientists/analysts. We are keen to draw on the wide range expertise we have across the University so if you are a postgraduate student, postdoc or staff member with experience of statistics, data analysis, data science, machine learning, data visualisation or general coding and software development skills then you have something to offer that is expensive and in short supply within the charity sector and we would be delighted if you were able to attend the event.
