This workshop will explore the difficulties faced by individuals with a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia and introduces strategies for aquiring higher level reading skills. The aim of the workshop is to improve the acquisition and retention fo new information, by looking at different reading techniques such as skimming, scanning, close reading and active reading.

This workshop examines what makes a presentation effective, and what things to consider when preparing for delivery. You will learn planning techniques which will help you to prepare clear and concise presentations. The workshop will provide tips for getting your message across and discuss techniques for managing your nerves and anxieties when presenting. (90 min).
