Hartley Study Desks
The National Oceanographic Library offers a variety of study areas on its three levels.
The entrance floor (level 4) of the library is designated as a quiet study area in the library.
The Hartley Library has 15 group study rooms (GSRs) throughout levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The rooms have a variety of facilities, for example: PCs; electrical sockets; internet points and whiteboards. A selection have U-Touch touch screen wall monitors (3C, 2A, 4059, 4061, 5019 and 5025), 2D has two LED wall monitors and 5037 has a touch screen table linked to an LED wall monitor. There are further LED wall monitors in 1A, 1C, 2B and 3F.
Rooms 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 3D, 3E, 3F, 4059 and 5023 will accommodate a maximum of 6 students. Rooms 3C, 4061, 5019, 5025 and 5037 a maximum of 12 students.

We reserve the right to re-book a resource to another group, if a group doesn't arrive within 15 minutes of the booked time slot.
