WSA Library Access

Doors and Lifts

The Library is located on the first floor of the Westside building on WSA Campus. A lift is located behind the staircase and will take you to directly outside the Library entrance, where you will find an automatic door allowing you access to Library One.

Parking

There is on-site parking for permit holders and blue-badge holders only. There is no visitor parking available although it may be possible to arrange on an ad-hoc basis. However, there are also several pay and display car parks within easy walking distance of the campus (the nearest can be found at North Walls) and an excellent park and ride service.

Toilets

Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the Westside building, just adjacent to the staircase. There are also toilets on the first floor where the Library is situated.

Fire and Emergency Procedures

In the event of a fire, you will hear a loud continuous alarm and should leave the building immediately via the nearest fire exit. Library staff will direct you towards the exit and you are then required to move towards the fire assembly point which is at the entrance to Riverside Park.

First Aid

There is no designated first-aider present in the Library, however there are a number of staff located within the Westside building that have first-aid training. If you find yourself in difficulty please report to the Loans Desk or one of the Library offices and a member of staff will contact a first-aider immediately.
