The Archives includes 39 documentaries from the BFI National Archive and BBC Archive for creative reuse by student filmmakers on course-related projects in universities across the UK. Show reels featuring short clips from the films available can be viewed. Films appear in chronological order. Please note the permission to use clause in the licence includes:
During the term of the licence students may include extracts of up to two minutes in short documentaries for course work (Student Productions) , and show the material s as part of the course, or course materials in the United Kingdom (but NOT online).
The BBC may request for a copy of your Student Productions for reference purposes. If the BBC wishes to use the Student Productions in its output services. If this were the case the Library's Acquisitions Services will be able to assist in negotiations.
Please note the collection will be available until August 2020 (under the terms of the licence).
