The library has produced a set of training activities for you to understand how to effectively locate information using various tools.


Building Foundations: finding Information for your studies   A library course that includes WebCat, DelphiS, Reading Lists, Search Strategies, and more.

Building Foundations: Advanced searching skills   This online course is made up of a number of short tutorials aimed at students who are confident that they have a basic knowledge of the library and its services and want to improve their searching skills. 
Database and Library Tutorials  This is a list with links to more library and database tutorials.

Research Postgraduates - Library courses are available through Gradbook 

Staff - generic courses can be found via Staffbook 

Learn with Lynda  For help with general IT skills, particularly MS Office, access is provided to online tutorials at  login with your University username and password   

IT Training  highlights the range of online training provided by iSolutions for the software they support. 

Deskside Training - this service provides support for individuals and/or small groups.

Internet for Biological Sciences   Internet for Biological Sciences is a free online tutorial to help university students develop their Internet research skills.
