GEOBASE indexes research literature on human and physical geography, earth sciences, ecology, geology, environmental sciences, oceanography, geomechanics, alternative energy sources, pollution, waste management, and nature conservation.
The database covers thousands of peer-reviewed journals, trade publications, book series and conference proceedings.
This database provides citations with abstracts from geosciences journal articles, books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses (Masters' theses and doctoral dissertations from US and Canadian universities). The database covers materials relating to North America published from 1693, and materials for the rest of the world from 1933.

The database is provided on the Proquest database platform.
Access is available to Digimap Ordnance Survey collection - registration required, Environment Digimap, Historic Digimap and Digimap OpenStream. Digimap allows users to view and create maps of any location in Great Britain using Ordnance Survey map data. Users can also download Ordnance Survey map data for use in other software packages, such as Geographical Information Systems (GIS), drawing software and CAD.
