The exhibition includes an exciting selection of items from our Archives and Special Collections from pre first world war to our latest development plans, alongside new digital content and alumni memories of the Hartley Library, part of our Hartley History Postcard collaboration with ODAR, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.

Altered State is now showing in the Winchester School of Art Library Foyer and runs until 19 December 2025.

Curated by Dave Gibbons this exhibition features derivative and altered artists' books including a selection from the WSA library Artists' Book Collection.  The curator attempts to seek dialog between each artistic interpretation which collectively explore the tactility of unmaking, and to celebrate the breadth of techniques at play.
