University of Southampton Theses and Dissertations

The Library holds doctoral level (e.g. PhD) theses submitted to this University and these are listed on Library Search. Some theses are available in full-text electronically on ePrints Soton.

A sample of Masters and undergraduate dissertations is available on Blackboard. None are available in hardcopy, either in the Faculty, School or Library.

For undergraduate dissertations go to the MANG3025 Blackboard course (the dissertation module). Click on 'Module Information' and then on 'Online Dissertation Library'.

For Masters dissertations go to the Dissertation Blackboard course (MANG6095) and click on ‘Dissertation Library’.

Key Databases

Use a database to search for references to theses. EThOS and DART-Europe also provide the full-text of many theses.

The UK’s national thesis service provided by the British Library. You can search for theses submitted to UK institutions. Note that abstracts are not included for all theses. Full text is available if the thesis has been digitised.
