We have a range of study areas throughout our sites, including dedicated group study rooms at the Hartley, Health Services, and National Oceanographic Libraries.
The Digital Scholarship Team specialises in the digital capture of images and texts from a range of document types. Using high-end scanning equipment, state-of-the-art workflow software and with extensive staff experience, preservation quality digital files are generated.
The Hartley Library’s Special Collections include the Anglo-Jewish Archives, Wellington Papers, Broadlands Archive, rare books and printed collections such as the Parkes Library and Cope Collection.
The Hartley Library is the single largest site, supporting all academic units based at the Highfield Campus - and it has the longest opening hours (07:30 to midnight most days of the year).
The Health Services Library supports University staff and students based at Southampton General Hospital. It also provides services and resources to NHS staff at UHS and Solent NHS Trust.
