Box of Broadcasts is an online off-air TV and radio recording service which enables you to choose and record any broadcast programme from 60+ Freeview channels. All programmes are then kept indefinitely and added to a growing media archive (currently at over 1 million programmes), with all content shared by users across other UK universities.   You can create clips to use in presentations and compile playlists of your favourite programmes to share with others.

Most of the English language learning books available at the L&LC and the Hartley Library are accompanied by CDs and/or DVDs for audio practice. Here are some examples,

English language learning software can help you improve your language skills from listening and note-taking to reading.
Find the shortcut to these resources on the desktop, when using a University computer, click on the icon "Presessional Resources". This icon is also accessible when working off campus using Southampton Virtual Environment (SVE)  ​​
