We signed up to the ACM OPEN agreement in May 2024. Includes articles accepted for publication 01/01/2023-31/12/2025

Research articles with a University of Southampton corresponding author will be automatically included in the agreement provided the author uses their University of Southampton email address. Your University of Southampton affiliation must be stated in the published article. 

This agreement is available to current University staff and students; colleagues with honorary contracts and visitors are not eligible.

  • All ACM conferences, journals and magazines for which ACM manages production and rights are eligible for the agreement. However, these lists of conferences and journals are co-published with other publishers and are excluded from the agreement.
  • If your article is included, the eRights edit screen will have the following wording at the top: “This paper is part of the ACM Open Program”
  • The Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence will be applied to your article.
