This agreement expires 31/12/2025, articles must be accepted by this date to be included. There is currently a national negotiation ongoing for a new agreement.
This agreement is available to current UK based University staff and students, where the University of Southampton has underpinned the research; colleagues with honorary contracts and visitors are not eligible.
Includes all peer reviewed article types with a University of Southampton corresponding author in all RSC journals. Please use your soton.ac.uk email address and affiliation throughout the submission process and your article will be published open access at no cost to the authors.
For hybrid journals you will be asked to select a publication route: standard or gold open access. Please select the gold open access option, check that you see the message "Your institution has a Read & Publish open access agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry, which means your institution will automatically cover the article processing charge, allowing you to publish your article gold open access" and the price is set to FREE.
