Open to University of Southampton corresponding authors in any AIP hybrid title. Please use your soton.ac.uk email address and affiliation throughout the submission process and your article will be published open access at no cost to the authors. This agreement is available to current University staff and students; visitors are not eligible.

Additional information:

  • AIP Publishing’s open access journals (AIP Advances, APL Bioengineering, APL Materials, APL Photonics, Structural Dynamics, and Matter and Radiation at Extremes) are not included in our agreement. If your article acknowledges UKRI or Wellcome Trust funding and you would like to publish in one of these open access journals, please complete our APC application form prior to submitting your article to ensure we can cover the cost.
  • Agreement runs 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2025.
  • The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA) is covered for open access but articles in excess of 12 pages in length will be charged $80 per page. There are no such charges for any other title.
